Author Guidelines

Happy to have you here! Before you submit your product to the marketplace, please read and comply with the following guidelines.

General guidelines for authors

  1. At the moment, we only accept sellers from the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom.

  2. The commission split is 70 / 30, meaning Core Framework will keep 30% of the sale, and 70% is paid out to the author's bank account.

  3. You can sign up for access to the Author's Area from your Dashboard. You will be asked for the name and the portfolio link. The marketplace is moderated and we reserve the right to approve or deny any application.

  4. After your application is approved, you will be informed via your account email and you can go ahead to set up your store and a connected Stripe account for payout handling.

  5. Once your store and a Stripe account are created and verified, you will get full access to the Author's Area, where you can create new products, manage existing ones, edit your store, and see basic reporting about your sales.

  6. When creating a new product, it can be either saved as a draft or submitted for review.
Once you submit the product for review, it can take up to 7 days for approval.

  7. We can either approve the product, which would publish it to the marketplace right away, or deny it and ask you for a revision of either your product or the product description.

  8. Seller accounts and payouts are handled through the Stripe Connect platform, which will process your payouts every day, after 14 days from the sale, and you can directly manage your payouts from the Stripe Connect Express dashboard.

  9. If the purchase has to be canceled due to a refund or other external circumstances, the sale commission is not paid.

  10. An author is expected to provide basic email support for 12 months from the sale.

  11. If an author is unresponsive to the buyer's support requests and our warnings for more than 14 days, the account will be terminated.

Product Guidelines

We don't have many guidelines for your product but cross-compatibility is a key. Make sure that your product will be compatible with other sites that already use Core Framework. An easy test is to load your design with a default Core Framework setup - it can't break.

Therefore we have a few rules in place to follow in your product submission:

  1. Use a default framework naming convention

  2. Don't use prefixes

  3. We don't allow mobile-first builds, at the moment

  4. Don't remove anything from your framework, rather style it to your design

  5. If you use BEM classes, create them directly in the HTML / page builder and use Core Framework variables inside. Do not add BEM classes to the Core Framework project file.
